2019 - 2020 Long Island Futsal League Format

  •  Eight game season, games are 50 minutes in length

     • Team Cost: U8-U9 $750, U10-U12 $775, U13-U19 $800 * player fee of $10.00 per player for  ENYYSA registration & insurance is additional

  • All coaches must have an approved and current background with  ENYYSA
  • League play starts January 4th & 5th 2020 - Registration extended to Dec. 12, 2019
  • Probable Play dates:   SATURDAYS: U13 (some U13's may play on Sundays due to less gym availability on Saturdays)  SUNDAYS: U8- U12 & U14-U19   
  • Futsal is 5 v5 (including goalie), Roster size: Min. = 7 Max. = 18
  • "Sister" Team rostering:(can split outdoor team & roster players on two or more futsal teams) players can roster on both teams
  • Age groups of similar ability may be combined to better balance the competition as futsal is less dependent upon size, speed and aggressiveness than outdoor soccer. For example: B level (D3 and lower) teams may be combined (not more than two age groups)
  • Tentative Division Brackets posted for coaches to review prior to being final
  • Discounts for sister teams & clubs or trainers registering multiple teams

Club Discounts:

 2-5 teams - $25 per team

6-10 teams $35 per team

11-20 teams $40 per team

21-30 teams $45 per team

> 30 teams $50 per team

  • Participation medals for U8/9, 1st place awards for U10 - U19

About Us


MISSION OF Long Island Futsal League Inc.
To provide an environment for players of all levels and ages to play and learn the game of futsal. The Long Island Futsal League will do this by:

- Focusing on skill development and fun vs. winning.  
- Utilizing US Soccer certified referees who understand the spirit and art of the game.
- Matching teams of similar skill in appropriate divisions and age groups where possible

History of the Long Island Futsal League

Long Island Futsal, as of October 1, 2018, is a member recreational club in the Long Island Junior Soccer League and  affiliated with Eastern New York Youth Soccer Assoication and US Soccer.    Long Island Futsal was incorporated and approved as a non profit organization in 1996 by New York State.    The league’s mission was and continues to be  to promote the sport of futsal, with it’s inherent skill developmental properties, for the youth of Long Island.  Long Island Futsal has grown into one of the largest youth futsal leagues in the United States, and the largest indoor youth league of any kind on Long Island. Last year (2019) Long Island  Futsal had over 220  teams with over 2200 players participating.   Our goal is to bring the  excitment, fun and developmental aspects of futsal to the greatest number of participants and to continue to raise the level of play in a competitive and fun environment .

Futsal is Skill Development

Long Island Futsal’s Winter League features teams in every age group and gender from U8 through High School.  High-quality officiating, fair and balanced competition superior facilities and outstanding service has kept coaches, players and parents returning to play year after year.
